What is RFID?
RFID or Radio Frequency Identification is a generic term for technologies that use radio waves to automatically identify objects. There are several methods of identification, but the most common is to store a serial number that identifies an object, and perhaps other information, on a microchip that is attached to an antenna. The chip and the antenna together are called an RFID transponder or an RFID tag. The antenna enables the chip to transmit the identification infor mation to a reader. The reader converts the radio waves reflected back from the RFID tag into digital information that can then be passed on to computers that can make use of it. |

Freedom Shopping is currently the sole manufacturer of RFID self-checkout kiosks. We attach Radio Frequency tags to every product. These tags have a radio frequency antenna inside them that coincide with the “readers” that are located inside of our kiosks. These readers will automatically detect the products your guests want to purchase. The system will quickly walk your guest through the simple transaction, having them in and out in the time it takes to swipe their card. |

If a customer needs assistance, they can simply press the Live Help button located on the Kiosk screen and they will be immediately connected to a live customer service representative who can help them with their purchase. All calls are made possible through voice-over inter net protocol technology VOiP (voice over inter net protocol technology). |

What about theft?
With any public application, there is always going to be some degree of theft. This is true in every retail environment. Our system is highly theft deterrent. Customers of the market are fully aware that they are under video surveillance and understand the implications of theft. Our portal will catch the vast majority of patrons that walk out
